Report: explosive-laden vehicles enter Pakistan’s capital

Islamabad : Three explosive-laden vehicles have entered Pakistan’s capital Islamabad, which could be used for terrorist attacks, local TV channel reported on Tuesday.

The security has been beefed up and search operation has been started to locate the vehicles, Geo TV said.

The warning from the intelligence agencies came three days after suicide bombers rammed an explosive-laden dumper into the gate of Marriott Hotel in Islamabad, killing 53 people and injuring 266 others.

Pakistani Prime Minister Yousaf Raza Gilani on Tuesday chaired a high-level security meeting, discussing the security situation in the country.
