Jalili: Iran ready to deal with any confrontation

By NNN-IRNA,

Tehran : Secretary of the Supreme National Security Council Saeed Jalili said on Wednesday that those who seek to confront Iran should bear in mind that the country is fully ready to deal with any confrontations.

Jalili made the remark in the 20th confab of Friday prayer leaders in Tehran on Wednesday.

On possibility of a military attack against Iran, he said “Our enemies in the past 30 years have never held friendly approach to us but they did their best to take action against us.”
“They never hesitate to take action against us but they know that the move would bring them losses,” he said.

“They have stretched their hands toward us seeking for our assistance to save them from Iraq’s quagmire,” he said.

“We are in full readiness as always,” Jalili underlined.

Enemies’ threats are in the forms of economic, cultural and even media campaigns and this this end Friday praying sermons would play a key role in neutralizing them, he said.

“They claim that they have no problems with Iran’s nuclear activities but they call on us to suspend our nuclear enrichment,” Jalili said.

The SNSC secretary said that the fact is that they only resort to various pretexts to pose threats against Iran, he said.

Tehran has answered all questions posed by IAEA and the body has verified peaceful nature of Iran’s nuclear activities for many times, he underlined.

They say Iran should stop its nuclear activities and dismantle its facilities which is quite different from suspension, he said.

Those who claimed that Iran cannot posses even 20 centrifuges now accept that Iran has not diverted from its right track and want our centrifuges not to exceed 4,000, he said.

The fact is that regional and global developments have created new situations in Iran’s favor which are not undeniable, he underlined.

Iran enjoys full stability inside the country and this is very remarkable, he said.

Referring to brave resistance of the Lebanese people in their 33-day war, Jalili said regional and international developments prove that the era of unipolarism of US is now over.
