Gurgaon : Three birdies in the last six holes helped Anirban Lahiri register his third successive sub-par round and pull ahead even further in the Professional Golfers Tour of India (PGTI) Tour Qualifying School's final stage here Friday.
Lahiri, 20, brought in a two-under 70 to take his aggregate to seven-under 209 after three rounds – nine shots ahead of amateurs Ranjit Singh (76) and Raj Randhawa (76).
Amateur golfers continued to hold sway as they occupied top three places at Golden Green Golf and Country Club.
Ranjit (76) and Randhawa (76) were both at two-over 218 and in tied second place.
Feroze Ali Mollah continued to be fourth as the top positions were not disturbed. He shot a 74 and was four-over 220.
Bangladeshi duo Matloob Rana (75) and Mohammed Siddiquir Rahman (75) were tied fifth at five-over 221.
M. Dharma (74) was lying sixth, while four players – Drew Edwin Dubberlin (73), Sheeraz Kalra, Devendra Patel and Chia Hao Hsu (77) – were tied for eighth.
