Vienna : The price for crude oil produced by the Organisation of the Petroleum Exporting Countries (Opec) rose further Thursday, to $59.92, the oil cartel said Friday.
One barrel (159 litres) of Opec crude cost $1.79 more Thursday than at the middle of the week, when it stood at $58.13.
Opec calculates an average basket price based on 13 important brands produced by its members.
