New Delhi : Three people were killed and 11 injured Tuesday in a temple in northwest Delhi when an under-construction wall collapsed on them.
The accident took place at 4.45 p.m. in the Nirmal Sukh Mandir Ashram, in Alipur Village, when people were being served food.
All the victims were taken to nearby hospitals where three were declared brought dead. The other 11 sustained serious injuries on the head and waist.
While four of the injured were admitted to Bara Hindu Rao Hospital, five were taken to Trauma Centre nearby and two to a private hospital, police said.
The dead were identified as Dal Singh, 36, Krishan Kumar, 40, and Ram Kumar, 38.
"We have registered a first information report and are investigating the matter," Deputy Commissioner of Police Manish Aggarwal said.
