Panaji : Goa Chief Minister Digambar Kamat Monday won a vote of confidence in the state assembly by a voice vote.
Kamat, who heads a Congress-Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) coalition, won the vote even as the opposition Goa Democratic Alliance (GDA) led by the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) staged a walkout from the house.
Governor S.C. Jamir ordered the vote following withdrawal of support to the government by two legislators.
