Lucknow : A Pakistani young man has been detained here Thursday evening, and police sources said he may be linked to the Mumbai terror attack.
A police official identified the man as Mohammad Ameen. Senior officials, however, refused to give the reason for his detention.
Ameen was staying in a hotel and said that he had come to Lucknow to meet a friend, Lucknow police chief Akhil Kumar told IANS.
A resident of Karachi, he arrived in Lucknow four days ago. “We are trying to find why he came here. We are also trying to locate his friend,” Kumar added.
