New Delhi : Petroleum Minister Murli Deora Saturday said the government will give dealerships for petroleum products to the families of security personnel killed in the Mumbai terror attacks.
After attending the funeral of the chief of Mumbai’s Anti-Terrorism Squad Hemant Karkare, who fell to terrorists’ bullets on the night of Nov 26, Deora said it was a “national duty” to take care of the dependents of the security personnel, a government statement said here.
On the lines of dealerships offered to the kin of Kargil martyrs, the petroleum ministry will now be working out a rehabilitation package for the families of the security personnel who fell in the Mumbai terror strike. The package will include dealerships for petroleum products like retail outlets of cooking gas and kerosene, and compressed natural gas (CNG) stations.
