Islamabad : Awami National Party (ANP) spokesman Zahid Khan has said that Pakistan, India and Afghanistan should join hands to defeat terrorism in the region.
Expressing his reaction over present tense situation in the region, he said ANP always believed in the policy of non-violence of Bacha Khan.
Talking to private news channel, he said, “We do not think that wars can solve problems. Terrorism is the common issue of Pakistan, Afghanistan and India. Terrorists and extremists are threat to innocent and peace loving people of three countries”, he said.
He said that terrorism is a common problem, and terrorists are trying to destabilize the region by deteriorating mutual relationship and harming economy of the region.
“We should launch joint struggle and take decisions after thorough deliberation. Peace not war is in favour of entire region”.
Replying to a question, he said that attacks might be handiwork of such elements whose interests are at stake and do not want that bilateral relations improved between Pakistan and India.
