Shimla : The Virbhadra Singh-led cabinet in Himachal Pradesh was expanded Wednesday with the inclusion of legislator Sujan Singh Pathania.
Pathania, who is a legislator from Kangra district, has been given transport and health portfolios. With this, the number of ministers in the Virbhadra Singh-led Congress government has gone up to 11.
Elections are due in the state early next year.
On Sunday, G.S. Bali had quit as the state's tourism and transport minister after a television channel showed him in the company of 'call girls' in a hotel in Dharamsala town on his birthday Friday.
But Bali denied they were call girls and said that he himself was an invitee at the party hosted by one of his friends. The former minister said he was there briefly along with his family. Bali also appealed for a judicial inquiry so that his name could be cleared.
