New Delhi : A phone call about a terror strike in two schools in the national capital Wednesday triggered panic among parents and teachers but turned out to be a hoax.
The police received an anonymous phone call warning that terrorists were holed up in Gyan Bharti school in Rajouri Garden and Rose Model school in Dwarka.
“Bomb disposal squads and senior police officers were immediately rushed to the schools. The schools were vacated but we did not find any terrorist or explosives there,” a police official said.
Efforts are on to trace the caller, he added.
Security has been tightened in the capital following last week’s terror strikes in Mumbai, which left 183 dead.
