The minimum temperature recorded Sunday morning was 7.6 degree Celsius, while the maximum was 25.4 degree Celsius.

The city Friday saw a minimum of 6.4 degrees Celsius, the coldest of the season.

“The temperature yesterday (Saturday) was again cold – 6.5 degrees – but temperatures will rise from today till new year. This is because another set of western disturbances are moving in from Jammu,” said an official from the Safdarjung Meteorological Office.

“The fog cover is also likely to lower till Dec 30-31 because of the western disturbances coming. The recent fog was due to the humidity after the previous western disturbances from the north left,” the official added.

Visibility reached 200 meters in the early hours of Sunday. Humidity was between 47-97 percent.

Clear skies during the day and misty mornings are expected in the coming days.

All the flights at Indira Gandhi International airport were running on time as visibility was clear enough at all runways, an airport official said.
