Dhaka : At least fifteen people were injured in clashes in Bangladesh’s central Madaripur district on Monday during polls of the country’s 9th Parliamentary election.
Madaripur Police Chief Devdas Bhattacharya told Xinhua on phone the supporters of rival candidates in Madaripur-3 constituency clashed in different polling centers, leaving around 15 people injured. 1
However, the polling in the country ended peacefully without any violence, an Election Commission official said.
