Islamabad : Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif was hospitalised Monday after he complained of severe heart pain, Geo TV reported.
According to sources, Sharif was attending a seminar of Khwaja Rafiq Foundation in Lahore and during the prayer break complained of chest pain.
He was immediately taken to Ashfaq Hospital for check-up and treatment.
Pakistan’s Punjab government officials told the media that doctors had termed Sharif’s condition as satisfactory, and said he was out of danger.
Shahbaz Sharif is the younger brother of former Pakistani prime minister Nawaz Sharif. President Asif Ali Zardari has often threatened to topple his Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) provincial government.
