New Delhi : The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) Tuesday booked a senior official of the Chanakyapuri post office here for allegedly owning wealth exceeding his known sources of income.
Dev Anand, senior superintendent of Chanakyapuri post office, was booked for possession of disproportionate assets worth Rs. 3.3 million after the CBI conducted raids at his office and official residence here.
“We have recovered Rs.75,000 in cash, documents pertaining to educational expenditure of his children worth about Rs.1.9 million, insurance polices worth Rs.1.1 million, documents of two plots at Wazirabad and Karawal Nagar, and Kisan Vikas Patras to the tune of Rs.3.1 million,” the agency said in a statement.
