Toronto : An Indian man has been arrested for killing his daughter-in-law in Mississauga near here.
The city police said 22-year-old Amandeep Kaur Dhillon was allegedly killed by Kamikar Singh Dhillon in a knife attack on the first day of the new year.
The victim worked for the 47-year-old Indian man in his Airport Foods grocery store.
She died from a stab wound to her neck, police said.
After the alleged attack on his daughter-in-law, Dhillon reportedly inflicted knife wounds on himself to make it look like an intruder attack.
He was admitted to a hospital Sunday and will appear in court later.
The victim has a 22-month-old son in Punjab with her parents.
No reasons have been given for the fatal attack.
