Lucknow : A criminal wanted by the police of Uttar Pradesh and Madhya Pradesh was nabbed after a shootout though two of his accomplices managed to escape, the police said here Thursday.
“Munni Lal Yadav alias Khadag Singh, who carried a reward of Rs.65,000, was arrested Wednesday night after a gun battle in dense forest in Chitrakoot district,” Uttar Pradesh Additional Director General of Police (Law and Order) Brij Lal told reporters.
Yadav was wanted in 19 cases of murder and loot by the police of the two states, he added.
