The event is being organised as part of the Swami Vivekanand Career Guidance Scheme.

“The state government would deploy fully trained career counsellors to guide students of 10th and 12th classes during the campaign,” Minister for Education Archana Chitnis said.

“As many as 2,500 career counsellors from higher secondary schools, colleges, polytechnics and schools run by the tribal welfare department are being imparted training by the subject experts,” Chitnis said.

“They would, in turn, provide career counselling to the students at the camps in all 313 blocks from Jan 27 to Feb 2,” Chitnis said.

These career counsellors would be provided with a booklet – Career Sopan (Part-1) – containing information about career opportunities in various fields. It would also contain information about various competitive examinations including IIT, PET, MP PMT, CPMT, CA besides information on how to get different scholarships including foreign fellowships.

Madhya Pradesh is the only state in the country where information is being published through Swami Vivekanand Career Guidance Scheme to help students choose a career as per their inclination and aptitude.
