Seoul : South Korean troops were put on increased alert Sunday due to the warning launched by a military spokesman of the Peoples Democratic Republic of Korea (PDRK) announced Yonhap agency.
Government sources told that media the South Korean troops are ready to confront any possible conflict with the North.
Democratic Korea warned South Korean authorities that its troops will take strong military counter measures to put paid to its plans of a preventive attack to the north of the peninsula.
It also said that the armed forces of the People Democratic Republic of Korea will be forced to go into a total confrontation state to frustrate Seoul aggressive plans.
Since conservative Lee Myung-bak came to the South Korean presidency early in 2008 the relations between the two zones of the Korean peninsula have become tenser.
