Four suspected terrorists from Manipur arrested in Delhi

New Delhi : Four terrorists of the outlawed terrorist organisation Kangleipak Communist Party (KCP) of Manipur have been arrested in the Indian capital, police said Monday.

Delhi Police’s Special Cell arrested Chongtham Manglemajao, 56, Nagriyambam Ratan Sone Singh, 35, Naorem Amumacha Singh, 56, and Chongtham Ibomacha Singh, 35, from Govindpuri area Saturday.

The Manipur Police had alerted Delhi that Manglemajao, who is general secretary of KCP, and some others occasionally came to Delhi to live in anonymity while coordinating militant activities

“On Jan 17 we received information that the terrorists of KCP group will assemble in Govindpuri,” said a police officer. The police laid a trap and arrested the four.

“Several documents related to KCP and Rs. 25,000 in cash were recovered from them,” the officer added. A court Sunday sent them to police custody for 10 days.
