New Delhi : At least 25 young professionals from the capital Saturday set out on a 2,000 km long journey in Rajasthan to educate people about HIV-AIDS.
The team of software engineers, marketing managers, businessmen and designers is on a mission, “Operation – Desert Storm”, to various parts of Rajasthan where they will create awareness about HIV-AIDS.
The mission was flagged-off by project director of the Delhi State AIDS Control Society B.S. Banerjee.
“We will cover over 2,000 km in Rajasthan in the next six days,” said Parmesh Kumar, a member of the group called Team456.
“We would stop over at various places in the state, organise plays and interact with people to educate them about HIV-AIDS and also about its prevention.”
The mission is being organised with the help of National AIDS Control Organisation (NACO).
