Delhi Police get 15 medals, three gallantry awards

New Delhi : Delhi Police have received 15 medals, including three President’s Police Medals, for distinguished services as well as three gallantry awards.

Joint Commissioner of Police (Crime) Amulya Kumar Patnaik, JCP (Southern Range) Ajay Kashyap and Assistant Commissioner of Police (Special Cell) L.N Rao are among the recepients of the President’s Police Medal on the occasion of Republic Day Monday.

ACP (Special Cell) Sanjeev Kumar Yadav has been awarded the President’s Police Medal for gallantry as well as Second Bar to police medal for gallantry while late Inspector Mohan Chand Sharma has been honoured with a bar to the President’s Police Medal for gallantry.

Sharma was killed while fighting suspect terrorists in south Delhi Sep 19.

Twelve police officers have recived police medals for meritorious services. They are JCP (Crime Against Woman Cell) Sudhir Singh Yadav, ACP (Shahdara) Bir Singh, ACP (HQ-G) K.N. Haridas, ACP (Security) Kamla Devi Meena, Inspector Satya Dev Singh Ahlawat in Security unit, Inspector Vikram Kumar Chowdhary posted in CAW cell, sub-inspector Biram Singh in security unit, sub-inspector Kishan Chander in traffic unit, assistant sub-inspector Sarita Devi at airport, ASI Sarabjeet Singh in crime and railways, head constable Shiv Kumar in Special Branch and head constable (driver) Satbir Singh in crime and railways unit.
