At present, the airline operates four weekly flights from Mumbai and three from New Delhi to Istanbul.

“We are increasing the frequency of our flights to daily from New Delhi and Mumbai from today (Monday). This would mean that our frequency from India has now doubled to 14 every week,” Turkish Airlines chief executive Temel Kotil told reporters.

Turkish Airlines is a four-star airline company with a fleet of 127 aircraft flying to 144 cities, including 109 international destinations.

Kotil said the airline has successfully implemented its bilateral rights with India by increasing its frequency by 14 flights every week.

“We have further expansion plans,” he added. The airline is looking at Hyderabad and Chennai as its new destinations in India.
