Tehran : Iran’s biggest ever consignment of parts to be used in construction of power plants will be exported to Iraq soon.
The consignment includes parts to be used in the construction of a 320-megawatt gas power plant in the Sadr city near Baghdad.
The consignment will cross the border into Iraq through the Mehran crossing.
The first part of the consignment includes the turbines, weighing over 550 tons, which will be carried to the country using special carriers.
This is the biggest ever contract signed between Iran and Iraq in the power plant construction field which is fully carried out by Iranian experts.
The Sadr gas power plant includes two 160-megawatt generators.
Over 100 million euros is allocated to the project for designing, installment of equipments and construction of 60 residential units by Iranian engineers.
