“This is a situation with which one will have to live,” Abdullah told reporters here, confirming that he had received a letter from Union Home Minister P. Chidambaram informing him about the new threats to his life.

“I have lived with assassination bids and I believe that everything is in the hands of almighty… terrorists cannot derail that,” Abdullah said.

He claimed that he was a political worker and would continue to move among the people.

Abdullah, who enjoys Z-plus category security, said that he is not enhancing his security.

Three former chief ministers, Ghulam Nabi Azad, Mufti Mohammad Sayeed and Farooq Abdullah and the opposition Peoples Democratic Party president Mehbooba Mufti are under terror threat.

The union home minister had recently written letters to political leaders across the country asking them to take extra precautions during the Lok Sabha polls as terrorists had prepared a list to target prominent figures.
