Mumbai : Bulls stormed the Indian equities markets Thursday lapping up stocks across sectors and pushing a key index up 455 points or 4.6 percent from its previous close.
The 30-scrip Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) sensitive index (Sensex), which opened at 10,107.25 points, rose 455.48 points or 4.6 percent to close at 10,357.47 points (provisional).
Similarly, the S&P CNX Nifty of the National Stock Exchange (NSE) gained 5.03 percent from Wednesday’s close to end trade at 3,214.15 points.
The BSE midcap index gained 3.78 percent, while the BSE smallcap index was up 2.88 percent.
