Jammu : Congress general secretary Rahul Gandhi will visit Jammu and Kashmir early next week to campaign for the Lok Sabha elections.
Gandhi is expected to address the party’s two election meetings April 14, state Congress spokesperson Ravinder Sharma told reporters here Thursday.
Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Omar Abdullah will join Gandhi in the campaign.
The ruling Congress-National Conference alliance has fielded three candidates each for the six parliamentary seats in the state.
The Congress is contesting form Jammu, Udhampur and Leh seats going to polls on April 16, 23 and May 13 respectively.
The National Conference has fielded its candidates from Anantnag, Srinagar and Baramulla seats where polling will be held April 30, May 7 and 13 respectively.
