Education: I stopped my education when I was in last year of graduation and engaged in business.
Reasons for going into politics: I have chosen to go into politics for the purpose of human service. Our family has been working for the betterment of the people especially minority communities in the field of education, social activities and health. Then we thought that we could do more for the people by joining politics. Therefore we entered politics.
Issues that are important: People of Assam especially Muslims are facing several kinds of problems. To stop harassment of Muslims in the name of Bangladeshis, protection from flood which washes away thousands of homes every year, to take action to end the unemployment which prevails in the state and the arrangement of education and health centers for poor people are some of the issues that are most important to be solved.
Besides Assam is full of natural calamities, people are living miserable lives here because of corruption. Government and its officials are busy to collect wealth for themselves but are not thinking about the common people. There were perfume factory, sugar mills, paper mills etc. but all are closed now and lakhs of people became unemployed. It happened because official demanded their percentage from the owners of mills but owners were not ready to pay them percentage finally they were forced to close the factories.
Achievements: Since when AUDF came in field state Congress government became more active than ever in the past towards public affairs because they know that if they miss the chance then AUDF will grab it. Several welfare schemes have been started only to attract people towards Congress and keep them away from AUDF. For example if a person was killed in riot or any incident, government was hardly giving 50 thousand but now it gives 8 lakhs. Thus common people are getting benefits and that is our main objective.
What do you intend to do after winning the election: I will firstly try to solve the problems of Muslims who are tortured in border area and also unemployment. We have been raising voices in assembly against the harassment of Muslims in border area but government tried to put it in garbage. If I succeed I will put this matter in parliament and with the help of the Central Government solve this problem and also will take proper initiative to control the unemployment.
