Noida : Senior Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader Kusum Rai, considered to be close to rebel leader Kalyan Singh, is in trouble as the Noida police have filed a case against her for an allegedly provocative speech she made at an election rally.
The police Monday night registered a case against Kusum Rai for delivering “communally provocative” speech, under various sections of the Indian Penal Code and the election law.
Rai Monday arrived here with senior BJP leader Arun Jaitley and addressed a rally for the party candidate from Gautam Budh Nagar – Mahesh Kumar Sharma.
In her public address she referred to leading Muslim cleric Abdullah Bukhari’s alleged advice to his community to “give birth to Baburs” and said: “We (Hindus) are 90 crores in number. The day people of Noida rise up, you (Muslims) 25 crores won’t be found anywhere.”
