Orissa beefs up security after e-mail threat

By IANS

Bhubaneswar : Orissa Tuesday beefed up security around the legislative assembly and secretariat here after the office of Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik received an e-mail that threatened to blow up the assembly within 15 days.

The mail, written in Hindi using English alphabets was received at the official e-mail address of the chief minister Monday night, police said.

The e-mail said that a few security officials also were hand in glove with them to carry out the operation.

“The chief minister’s office has received such an email but there is nothing to worry,” state police chief Amarananda Patnaik told IANS.

Some body might have done a mischief, he said.
