Southampton : Ian Bell (126 not out) and Alastair Cook (102) smashed centuries as England scored 288 for two in 50 overs against India in the first One-day International here Tuesday.
Bell (118 balls, 10x4s, 1×6) and Cook (126 balls, 8x4s) were involved in a whopping 178-run partnership for the second wicket while Kevin Pieterson chipped in with an unbeaten 33 off 25 balls (3x4s).
India will need to score 289 at 5.78 runs per over to win the first match of the seven-ODI series at the Rose Bowl, Southampton.
