Srinagar: Unidentified persons suspected to be the militants shot dead a seventeen year old girl in Mujpathri Kellar village of Shopian soon after the day 47 days old call was called off by the MMC.
A women and a girl were earlier allegedly raped and killed by some unknown persons on May 30.
Informed sources said that some unidentified militants barged into the house of Ghulam Ahmad Dar and fired indiscriminately killing a girl on the spot and injuring another.
Soon after hearing gunshots neighbors came out of their houses and shifted the girl to the Pulwama Hospital where doctors declared her as brought dead.
The body of the girl who has been identified as Parveena Akhter, 17 years student of 10th class has been handed over to the family members after completion of all legal formalities.
People this morning assembled in the village and held protest demonstration demanding probe into the killing as no organization has claimed responsibility so far.(NAK)
