Ranchi : Two people were killed and four injured in a clash between tribals and settlers over a land dispute in Jharkhand’s Dumka district Thursday, police said.
According to police, the clash took place at Khijuria village of Dumka district, around 450 km from Ranchi.
“The clash took place between a tribal and the non-tribal Pal family over a land dispute. Two people of the Pal family were killed and four others were injured. Senior police officials have rushed to spot,” Santhal Parganas Deputy Inspector General of Police M.L.Meena told IANS over telephone.
Members of the tribal family attacked the Pal family with traditional weapons like bows and arrows.
The injured have been admitted in a local hospital in Dumka, and the condition of one of them is said to be critical.
