Babuji had earlier entered the Guinness by his 2 cm long and 1 cm wide copy of the ‘The Last Supper’. This oil painting was done on teak. He has painted thousands of pictures, some of which fetched about Rs 5000 reportedly.

Babuji goes to work in day time so could spend time to write the Holy Qur’an only at nights. His copy of the Qur’an is 65 cm wide and 85 cm long. Sketch pens are used to write the copy on hand-made paper. The cover page is designed in red rexin. The copy is kept in a wooden box and covered by a cloth after binding.

Babuji had worked in Muscat for some years as a painter. He learned to read and write Arabic at that time. This inspired him to copy the Qur’an.

He owes his strength to the support offered by his wife Raseena Beevi. The couple has two children – Bilal studying in 9th standard and Shamila studying in 7th standard.
