Kabul : A roadside bombing killed seven Afghan security personnel in the eastern Kunar province, an official said Monday.
The blast killed six intelligence officers and one policeman in Marawara district Sunday night, provincial government spokesman Ajmal Mokhtar told Xinhua.
Five intelligence officers were also injured in the explosion only two km away from the Afghan-Pakistan border, he added.
No one has claimed responsibility but Taliban militants have frequently carried out similar attacks.
Due to rising violence, over 4,200 persons, most of whom were Taliban militants, have been killed in Afghanistan this year.
