Bhopal: The Madhya Pradesh State Government has issued a notification excluding the intelligence and security agencies working under the State’s Home Department from the application of the provisions of the Right to Information Act, 2005.
An official Press release said that the notification to this effect has been published in the Extra-ordinary issue of the Madhya Pradesh Gazette.
The intelligence and security agencies which have been excluded from the provisions of the aforesaid Act include Special Branch of Police Headquarters, ‘C’ section of the Home Department, CID (Only for matters related to intelligence and security) and Special Armed Forces, (S.A.F.).
