Lucknow: Uttar Pradesh Special Task Force (STF) has arrested two men with fake passports, visas and several other forged documents, officials said Saturday.

“Mohammad Hasan and Maqsood Alim, both residents of Jaunpur district in Uttar Pradesh, were nabbed late Friday evening from Naka Hindola area here,” Senior Superintendent of Police Naveen Arora told reporters.

According to STF, the two men used to collect large amounts of money from people for fake passports and visas.

“They used to charge Rs.60,000 for a visa to Gulf countries. We recovered 19 fake passports, 72 photocopies of passports and 30 medical certificates from them,” an official said.

“Though the two claimed to run a travel agency, they failed to provide any document to establish their claim. A case has been registered against them,” the official added.
