New Delhi : Prime Minister Manmohan Singh’s flight Thursday to Copenhagen where he is expected to attend the UN climate summit has been delayed by a couple of hours due to a minor technical snag.
Officials in the Prime Minister’s Office (PMO) said the Air India flight that was expected to take off at 3 p.m. has been deferred for some time.
“The technical team is looking into the matter. It is a minor hitch and they want to take extra precautions,” said a PMO official.
Manmohan Singh’s official team is a compact one comprising eight members including Foreign Secretary Nirupama Rao and the Prime Minister’s Special Envoy on Climate Change Shyam Saran, besides other senior officials.
