Patna: The Millat Bedari Muhim Committee (MBMC), Aligarh wholeheartedly welcomed the tabling of Justice Ranganath Misra Commission Report in Parliament on Friday.
In a meeting held under the presidency of its patron and ex- secretary of AMU Teachers’ Association Dr. Mohammad Shahid, MBMC appreciated the former Chief Justice of the Supreme Court Justice Ranganath Misra who recommended 10% reservation exclusively for Muslims which may help Muslims to better their social, economic and educational status.
The MBMC urged the central government to evocate the 1950-1951 Presidential order which discriminates the scheduled caste/ scheduled tribes on the basis of the religion by denying the benefit to the Christian, Parsi and Muslims.
The meeting demanded the government to implement it as soon as possible because it is already much late as the report was submitted to the government in 2007.
The meeting was also attended by MBMC president Mr. Jasim Mohammad, secretary Jamal Ansari, Nadeem Khan, Mohammad Farooq Khan, Shahzad Alam several others.
