Bhubaneswar: Four Maoist guerrillas were arrested in Orissa’s Rayagada district during a combing operation, police said Saturday.
“We have arrested four Maoists. We had prior information that they were assembling at a place. They were arrested by special operations group and CRPF (Central Reserve Police Force) troopers Friday night,” Rayagada Superintendent of Police Ashish Singh said.
The rebels were arrested from Gudari area of the district.
“Two of them are hardcore Maoists and the other two were lower cadres. They were involved in several violent incidents in the district,” he added.
