Jaipur : The Rajasthan cabinet has recommended an extension of 45 percent reservation for the Scheduled Tribes and five percent for the Scheduled Castes in several junior level state government jobs, excluding the state services, an official statement said Thursday.
In the tribal sub-plan (TSP) areas of the state scheme, the government has provided 45 percent reservation for the Scheduled Tribes. With this, tribals in the notified TSP blocks of Dungarpur, Banswada, Sirohi, Udaipur and Chittorgarh (Pratapgarh) districts will get the reservation benefit.
Similarly, the Saheriya tribes living in Kishanganj and Shahbad block of Baran district would get 25 percent reservation in direct recruitment to posts in the pay scales of 1-9 of government jobs.
