New Delhi: The Delhi High Court Monday asked a Delhi school to implement the recommendations of the Fifth Pay Commission and pay its teachers accordingly.
Justice Kailash Gambhir asked the Rukmani Devi Public School to pay all the arrears, with effect from January 1996, to a group of teachers who have approached the court after the school denied them the benefits of the Fifth Pay Commission.
The case was filed by four teachers of the school who contended that they were also entitled to revision of the pay scales equivalent to the teachers employed in schools run by Delhi government.
Meanwhile, the Delhi government submitted that they have issued show cause notices to 11 schools for not implementing the fifth pay commission recommendations.
