New Delhi : In a bid to choke the conduits that fund cross-border terrorism, a working group set up by the eight-nation South Asian Association for Regional Cooperation (SAARC) is set to meet later this month.
“The working group will meet on Sep 24 or 26 to suggest more concrete ways to counter terror funding,” India’s Finance Secretary Vinod Rai told reporters here on the margins of the second meeting of SAARC finance ministers and secretaries.
“Finance secretaries of SAARC nations discussed the issue yesterday,” Rai said referring to the two-day meetings that concluded Saturday where talks focused on the proposed SAARC Development Fund and collaborations among market watchdogs.
