New Delhi: The Armed Forces Tribunal Wednesday rejected the interim relief plea of Lt. Gen. P.K. Rath in the multi-million rupee Sukna land scam.
Tribunal Chairman Justice A.K. Mathur dismissed Rath’s petition seeking a stay on the summary of evidence proceedings against him.
The tribunal allowed the proceedings against him for giving a no objection certificate (NOC) to a private realtor for building an educational institute on land adjacent to the Sukna cantonment in West Bengal.
“The tribunal has refused to grant interim relief. We are now exploring other options,” Rath’s counsel A.K. Singh told IANS.
