The committee would also have Yogi Adityanath, the Gorakhpur MP, and Rajendra Agrawal, MP from Meerut, as members, a party release said.

Parts of Bareilly town have been under curfew for the past 12 days following the outbreak of communal violence. Fifteen people were injured in fresh outbreaks Friday.

According to the statement, the committee will leave for Bareilly Sunday.

The trouble was sparked off over the passage of a Barawafat procession. What started with the exchange of hot words between members of rival communities almost instantly snowballed into a violent clash as members of a particular community went on an arson spree, burning down a few shops.
