Mumbai: Germany’s Consul General Walter Stechel Monday morning paid a courtesy farewell call on Governor K. Sankaranarayanan at the Raj Bhavan here.
Stechel ends his four-year stay in the city soon and will take up a year-long fellowship at the Weatherhead Centre for International Affairs in Harvard University.
“India has been on the move during the past decade and the country has taken its rightful place in the international community,” Stechel said.
