New Delhi : It was a cloudy Monday in Delhi with the weather office forecasting rains later in the day.
“The skies will remain clouded. There are chances for rain towards the evening,” said an official of the India Meteorological Department.
The minimum temperature was 28.8 degrees Celsius, two notches above average, the official said adding that the maximum temperature was expected to hover around 36 degrees.
The national capital has been experiencing hot and humid weather since last week with some showers.
“Traces of rainfall were recorded Sunday morning but there has been no rain after that,” the official said.
The official said more rainfall was expected in the week ahead.
Delhi has so far received 174 mm of rain since the advent of monsoon July 5, almost 90 percent more than average for this time of the year.
