Sonia to address Congress legislature party Aug 19

New Delhi : Congress president Sonia Gandhi is expected to address a meeting of the parliamentary party Aug 19, a party leader said here Friday.

“A meeting of the Congress Parliamentary Party is likely to take place on August 19,” Paban Singh Ghatowar, chief whip of the party in the Lok Sabha, told IANS.

Congress sources said that the party president is expected to speak on the attempts of the government to restore peace in Jammu and Kashmir, measures to check rise in food prices, the party’s preparations for the assembly polls in Bihar and relief efforts in Leh where flash floods caused damage to life and property last week.
