New Delhi : Two and three-wheeler maker TVS Motors Thursday said it will invest Rs.200 crore by April next year to increase production to meet rising demand.
“we are increasing our capacity to 28 lakh units from 21 lakh units per annum to meet the growing demand. We will investment Rs.200 crore by April 2011,” said Venu Srinivasan, chairman, TVS Motor Company, on the sidelines of an automobiles conference.
The company this year expects to sell 18 lakh two wheelers in the domestic market and export 2.5 lakh units. It also expects to sell 50,000 three-wheelers.
Commenting on the inflationary pressures and growth prospects, Srinivasan said though inflation remained a problem it will not have a significant impact. He also said growth of the auto sector has exceeded expectations.
