This direction was given in a review meeting of the CEOs of 14 states and union territories held here on Monday. These CEOs were from south and western India.
According to an ECI spokesperson, “The Commission will be holding a review meeting with the rest of CEOs from the northern and eastern states on Tuesday.”
The other issues being discussed at the review meetings are use of Geographic Information System (GIS), issuing of Electronic Photo Identity Cards (EPIC) and rationalising of polling stations.
